DNA Sequencing

We offer a choice of three types of DNA sequencing services:

• Full Service Sequencing
  Saturn provides a full sequencing service for most organisms (plant, animal, viral, bacteria, fungi, etc). This includes nucleic acid extraction, primer design, PCR or RT-PCR, cDNA cleanup, sequencing, data editing and analysis.

• Ready to Run Samples
  Sample requirements: The customer prepares their own sequencing reactions and sends us the cleaned and dried samples ready for sequencing.

• Sequencing from Purified Templates
  Sample requirements: PCR products need to be single bands and purified with a PCR cleanup column (e.g. Qiagen) and submitted in a concentration of ≥25 ng/µl. For plasmid DNA, the vectors should be purified with a commercial column (e.g. Qiagen). An aliquot of your custom primers or plasmid universal primers need to be provided.

Fragment Analysis

Saturn provides a genotyping service for microsatellite fragment analysis. We use fluorescent primers multiplexed on an ABI 3730 automated DNA analyser which allows for high throughput genotyping at a very competitive price.
