Saturn Biotech has its laboratories within the West Australian State Agricultural Biotechnology Centre (SABC), at Murdoch University in Perth. It is the major centre for Agricultural Biotechnology in Western Australia and provides state-of-the-art research facilities, for genomics, proteomics and molecular biology of plants, animals and micro-organisms.

Saturn utilises a range of leading edge platform technologies and methodologies for delivering services to industry and the research community. This includes nucleic acid-based technologies (PCR, RT-PCR, Real-time PCR, DNA sequencing, SSR analysis, AFLPs, HPLC, dHPLC) and protein-based technologies (MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer, PAGE, LCMS) etc.

Saturn also maintains an AQIS / WAQIS registered quarantine laboratory, for receipt and handling of quarantined / restricted organisms.
